For 20 years, Pollie Pedal has raised money for various charities whilst giving smaller Australian Communities the opportunity to meet members of parliament.
To date, over $5,500,000 has been raised for good causes including: Carers Australia; the Royal Flying Doctor Service; Ronald McDonald House; Youth Insearch and the Paralympic Games, as well as supporting medical research into childhood leukaemia, diabetes, breast cancer and prostate cancer.
In 2017, Pollie Pedal raised over $410 000 for Soldier On (as my national charity) and over $60 000 for Streetwork (as my local charity).
Soldier On and StreetWork have agreed to remain the national and local beneficiaries in 2018. |
